Day 3

Today we did a lot of knee on belly. Having a grown man sit on your chest and diaphragm is not something I would like to do everyday. Today we flowed at the end of class. It was the most difficult so far. I was primarily on the offensive, and again I do not believe the upper belts were trying to submit me. I'm feeling tight back muscles. I'll try to stretch it out tomorrow morning.

I spoke to the professor after class and told him I probably would have joined five years ago if the name of the school was a little friendlier. Maybe something like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in it. It was funny because he showed me a logo that he was working on that said the same thing.

I'm having a great time. The other students are great. I'm really glad I took the chance and started this journey. If I would have walked into a school that emphasizes competition, the outcome may have been different.
